Project Manager for Landscape Design Project

Position Summary

Project Manager for Landscape Design Project is responsible for coordinating and overseeing landscape architecture and outdoor development projects during design development and construction phases. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to design quality, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

• Manage overall landscape design project lifecycle.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other relevant parties.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.

Design Coordination

• Review landscape design drawings, specifications, and material selections.
• Ensure design intent is maintained during construction.
• Coordinate revisions and approvals with clients and consultants.
• Support value engineering and technical problem-solving.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as primary contact between client and project team.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.

Construction & Site Supervision

• Monitor site progress, quality control, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate contractor activities and resolve site issues.
• Conduct site inspections and progress evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in landscape design projects or project management.
• Strong knowledge of plant materials, tropical planting design, tree selection, and landscape maintenance.
• Understanding of plant species suitability, growth conditions, and horticultural requirements.
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency in Chinese will be an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and ornamental plants.
• Ability to select appropriate plant species based on site conditions and design concepts.
• Understanding of planting systems, irrigation, and landscape maintenance.
• Project management and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
