The Kingdom’s Architect

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s life-long work can be clearly seen through all 4,447 projects around the country, all of which are for the improvement and sustainability of the livelihood of the people.

Undoubtedly, His Majesty’s vision and skill were witnessed , especially in the field of architecture. Countless numbers of people involved in the king- initiated development projects all expressed the same feeling of profound happiness to have once served the Great King. Each project reflects H.M. the King’s abilities in design and planning in architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, and environmental planning. His Majesty always placed his value and attention towards simplicity, value, functionality, and environment based on his profound understanding on the subjects.

This special edition of ASA CREW presented you some of the architectural projects initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and interviews of those architects who served His Majesty. This will provide you a better understanding of His Majesty the King’s vision and skill that is truly worth the title of “The Kingdom’s Architect”.
