Job Summary:
greymatters is a global hospitality design agency specializing in interior design, architecture, F&B concepts, and branding. We are seeking a CAD Technician with a strong foundation in interior documentation and a working knowledge of lighting design. This role involves producing detailed drawings across all project stages—Design Development, Tender, and Construction—while collaborating with senior designers to deliver high-quality, on-time design packages. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of working across both interior and lighting documentation in fast-paced, international hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain comprehensive interior and lighting documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and fixture layouts.
- Translate design concepts into accurate CAD drawings in coordination with project leads.
- Develop and apply drawing standards for both interior and lighting design.
- Revise and update design and construction drawings as projects evolve.
- Assist in preparing and organizing construction packages, including lighting specifications and schedules.
- Coordinate with interior, architectural, and lighting consultants to ensure design integration.
- Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Participate in site measurements, drawing markups, and documentation updates.
- Stay proactive in resolving drawing-related issues and gathering missing information.
Optional Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with BIM fundamentals (e.g., Revit).
- Knowledge of construction and manufacturing methods.
- Proficiency in SketchUp or other 3D software.
- Understanding of lighting design tools such as DIALux, Relux, or lighting control systems.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency.
- Solid knowledge of drawing standards for interiors and lighting in hospitality environments.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in Interior Design/Architecture, ideally in the hospitality sector.
- Experience with lighting layouts, fixture documentation, or coordination preferred.
- International project experience is an advantage.
Language Skills:
- English: Strong written and spoken communication required.
- Thai language proficiency is a plus.
