URGENT! Senior Interior Designer (Hospitality)

Job Summary
The Senior Interior Designer will be part of an expanding and specialist Hospitality team within greymatters working closely with the relative Team Leaders and Design Director. The role will lead a team of motivated and experienced design professionals in our Bangkok Studio. Working as part of a collaborative organization you will interpret Client and Operator Briefs in creating innovative and impactful design solutions across a variety of exciting projects

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all design phases of projects including space planning and details. 
• Working closely with the Design Director & project teams to ensure designs are in accordance with intent and best practice
• Assist in coordination with other consultants and clients when needed.
• Working closely with project teams on producing full sets of tender & construction drawings/specifications. 
• Ensuring that project assignments are completed within the given deadline. 
• Reviewing of shop drawings/samples, strike-offs, materials, etc. for compliance with specifications and design intent. 
• Participate and where applicable lead project meetings and Client presentations as needed. 
• Travel locally and internationally for assigned project presentations, coordination meetings, and site visits as required. 
• Flexibility in handling multiple projects within the set deadlines. 
• Able to coordinate, delegate, give feedback, and mentor subordinates regarding their work and professional development including problem-solving.  
• Proactive attitude with the ability to closely communicate with Clients and greymatters Directors 
• Understanding of, and experience with, project resource allocations and timeline planning for projects 

Education/Qualifications

• Minimum Tertiary related qualification (BA, BSc, MA) in Interior  Design or Architecture
• Related memberships or affiliations to Professional Organisations preferable

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• At least 7-10 years of related work experience in professional Design organizations
• Proven experience and exposure to Hospitality design across both urban and resort properties and 
• Possess adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office, In-Design, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Sketch up
• 3DS max and Revit are added advantages

Written and Verbal Language Skills

• English: Fluent communication of written and spoken English and computer skills
• Thai: Fluent written and spoken
• Other languages an advantage

Exposure (Other indirect experiences that would be beneficial to the role)

• A demonstration of a ‘passion for design’ and a sincere interest in Hospitality design would be considered a prerequisite
