Draftsman / Production Designer

Responsibilities:

·    Liaise with designer to understand nature of the project and obtain clear specifications.

·    Create technical drawings from designer’s sketches and specifications.

·    Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.

·    Create drawing package including layouts, general arrangements, level, materials, detailed drawings and construction procedures on AutoCAD in accordance with PLA quality standards and clients project specifications.

·    Enter CAD data into Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D

models and renderings.

·    Use multiple angles and views to depict the association of components and systems.

·    Incorporate changes or modifications according to the suggestions of designer and revise designs to eliminate problems.

·    Carry out site surveys that required by job/project.

·    Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.

·    Continuously look for and suggest ways to improve the process.

·    Other duties requested by management in support of the PLA team.

Qualifications

•        Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or a related field

•        Minimum of 1 year experience in technical drawing and CAD design, preferably in construction, landscaping, etc. Fresh graduates will be considered.

•        Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

•        Solid understanding of construction details, building codes, and regulations.

•        Experience in creating technical drawings and construction packages.

•        Demonstrated ability to interpret designer specifications accurately and produce precise technical drawings reflecting those specifications.

•        Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and make necessary design modifications efficiently.

•        Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with designers and team members to clarify project requirements.

•        Ability to handle diverse tasks as requested by management in support of team objectives.
